The Store House Phuket
Art Studio • Christian Bookstore • Community Hub
A welcoming space in where local children experience creative arts and genuine relationships, and Christian families find a peaceful Christian bookstore, lending library, and study room.
About Us
Hi, I’m Daniel Carlock, a U.S. citizen and former Student Pastor, Ocean Camp Director and ESL Teacher. My wife, 王金华 (Anna) and I are preparing a long-term move to Phuket to create The Store House — a Christian bookstore, art studio, and community space.
Vision
The Store House is a community space with two connected but distinct areas:
Front End (Free to All): A bright art studio and creative drop-in space. Local Thai children and families can come freely for art activities, STEAM projects, and meaningful relationships — a natural environment for Gospel witness through hospitality and kindness.
Back End (Membership Only): A private Christian lending library and premium study room. Families pay a monthly membership for access to Christian books, homeschool curriculum, discipleship resources, and a dedicated space for focused learning and fellowship. Parents remain fully responsible for their children’s education. Scholarships will be available where possible.
Seasonal Camps and workshops will be held off-site. This model allows us to serve the broader Phuket community while providing deep, Christ-centered support for Christian homeschooling families.
Current Status & How to Stay Connected
We are still in the early preparation phase — currently based in China and several years from full launch in Phuket.
We recently received positive feedback from Siam Legal confirming the Treaty of Amity path is viable. Their advice (which we agree with) is to incorporate closer to our move date to avoid unnecessary compliance costs.
Some people have asked if they can support us even now. If that’s you, our Sowfund page where you can follow along and give as the Lord leads is connected to the heart icon.
If you prefer to simply pray and watch the journey unfold, that means just as much to us. No pressure either way.
We’d love to hear from you — especially if you’re a Christian family in Phuket or considering a move to southern Thailand.
